The truth is that, until recently, I didn't understand the difference between leasing and purchasing outright. I get that a lease is a short-term contract and that, at the end of it, you have to return the car, like a checked-out book that's due to the library. With purchasing?well, you've purchased the car. It's yours. What I don't get, though, is why some people choose to lease a vehicle instead of just buying it - I mean, who wants to have to return a car after they've just gotten used to it?? No Heat November...Not again, Mom!

The battle between staying warm and saving money commences when the temperature starts to drop. For kids and husbands, The October-November months mean days of long johns and extra pairs of socks; for moms, these months are an annual game. "How Lovely Are Your Branches"

If you celebrate Christmas, chances are you will take part in enjoying the most popular of Christmas traditions: the Christmas tree. While different families may apply slight variations, the practice of this tradition is reverently kept.   More and more people I know are jumping on the fake-tree bandwagon - which, I'll be honest, I don't understand. Sure, it's cleaner I GUESS, but what's Christmas without some extra vacuuming?

It seeks to discover the answer to a curious concern: "why would we dispose of something so ingenious?" Regardless of whether or not the United States made a mistake by postponing the arrival of a fuel-less, battery run vehicle, such detainment is now a thing of the past.

Winter Driving: Maintenance and Survival Tips

I always have a feeling of dread when the leaves have finished falling and the first frost has come. Not only does this mean a chaotic few days of searching high and low for winter clothing, it also means getting out of the house in the morning early enough to start your car, scrape off layers of ice, and get the interior heated up enough to avoid hypothermia.

Women in the Car World: Trend or Not?

There are a lot of aspects of stereotypical North American culture that spark vivid imagery; most of these images take us back in time. For every day family life we may think of the Cleaver family, with Ward Cleaver coming through the front door and greeted by his pristine wife, a picture of perfection with carefully placed pearls and freshly applied lipstick.

Satisfying a Sweet Tooth

I was talking with a Sales Associate the other day and, as is often the case in many of my conversations, we began talking about different foods we enjoy. There's something about chilly weather that makes me want to indulge more and more in good eating. I don't know if fall food is more enticing because of its flavors or if it's because I'm just hungry more often. Either way, there are countless dishes that I can look forward to enjoying during this season.
